Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Within Temptation Releases New Song “The Fire Within”
Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation, consisting of Sharon den Adel (vocals), Robert Westerholt (rhythm guitar), Jeroen van Veen (bass), Martijn Spierenburg (keyboards), Ruud Jolie (lead guitar), Mike Coolen (drums) and Stefan Helleblad (rhythm guitar), has released a new song “The Fire Within” along with a music video.
The song was written for the mobile video game “Iron Maiden: Legacy Of The Beast”.
The band wrote the song in 2019 for their upcoming album, but didn't include the song on the next album.
The video was filmed during their Worlds Collide Tour with Evanescence.
Sharon den Adel said of the song, “We recorded it during corona times. And we release it now for the game with IRON MAIDEN, [our collaboration with] the 'Iron Maiden: [Legacy Of The Beast' mobile] game. This is a song that didn't make it for the next album. So we like the song, but it has a different kind of vibe to it. And it's about keeping things real. 'The fire within' [is] the thing that drives you, the thing that you feel the most.
