Louise Returns With New Song “Super Magic”
- British singer-songwriter Louise Redknapp, aka Louise returned with a new song “Super Magic” on November 10, 2022.
The song is her first music in two years since the 2020 fourth studio album “Heavy Love”.
Also it is her first single under her new label BMG.
The track was written by Antony Whiting, Alexandra Denton, Emily Philips and Louise Redknapp. Produced by Joshua Grant.
Louise Redknapp told Fault magazine about the song, “On Super Magic, I feel it’s really fun, upbeat, and a little bit sexy, and I’m having a fun time in the studio. As I got older and worked on Hammer, Heavy Love and now Super Magic – I wanted to make music I loved rather than just ticking a box for what worked in the industry. I think I’ve forever had to fight to prove myself. Even with Super Magic, people have said “wow, it’s better than what I thought”, so I’m still fighting to prove myself.”
- She continued, “Even though I’m proud of what I put out in the nineties, I feel this time around and on Heavy Love, I’ve gotten to be me and make music that I would love to listen to. I’ve got nobody telling me what’s going to work and what’s not going to work anymore. I’ve reached the stage in life where I might as well put out stuff I love rather than trying to feed the masses.”
The new song will appear on her upcoming album.
She said, “At the moment my phone is full of lyrics. The last two or three months, I’ve got a lot of lyrics down. Right now everything I write I want it to be positive and want it to be really empowering, like a moving-forward album. If someone was to look at my notes they would probably worry about me, for the things I’ve written down on there. Dare I say I think we have the first single. I’m going in strong. The direction we want to go in is a step on from ‘Heavy Love’.”
