Kaiser Chiefs Returns With New Song “How 2 Dance”
British alt-rock band Kaiser Chiefs, consisting of Ricky Wilson (vocals), Andrew White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Nick Baines (keyboards) and Vijay Mistry (drums), returned with a new song “How 2 Dance” on November 4, 2022.
It is their first music in two years since the 2020 “Zombie Prom”.
The track was written by Ricky Wilson, Andrew White, Simon Rix, Nick Baines, Vijay Mistry, Robert Harvey, Alex Smith, Karen Harding and Amir Amor.
Produced by Amir Amor, Nile Rodgers, and Lewis Thompson.
“We really wanted to make a song that put together all the things we were trying to get right over the last three records,” the band frontman Ricky Wilson said of the song. “For the first time in a long time we have teamed up with the two guys who originally signed us to B-Unique. They've watched us grow, seen our ups and downs, and in many ways understand us better than we do.”
He continued, “I hope to hear it at weddings, on the radio, and in the last remaining indie discos across the land. It's about letting go, not worrying about what other people think you should be doing. It may not be the smoothest of journeys, but sometimes you need a bit of turbulence to remind you that you are flying.”
The band is currently running tour in the UK, and will perform the song at in London on November 5, 2022.
