  • blink-182 Returns With New Song “EDGING”

  • American rock band blink-182, consisting of Mark Hoppus (bass guitar/vocals), Tom DeLonge (guitars/vocals) and Travis Barker (drums), is back with a new song “EDGING”.

It is their first music with founding member Tom DeLonge in a decade since the 2012 EP “Dogs Eating Dogs”.
Tom DeLonge left the band in 2015, but it was announced that he had officially rejoined the band on October 11, 2022.
Tom DeLonge shared on social media, “I wanted to take a minute and say that you for all that you have done to keep the band alive and thriving in my absence. I think you are enormously talented (I still love to listen to your band to this day). You have always been so kind to me, not only in the press, but also to others. I really noticed…The band would not even be here today if it were not for your ability to jump in and save the day.”
The new track was written by Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom DeLonge. Produced by Travis Barker. The accompanying music video was directed by Cole Bennett.
Travis Barker said of the song in a press release, “I wanted to imagine as a listener what I wanted to experience and at the same time as a band member what we wanted to make and say and most importantly how it would sound production wise in 2022.”
Mark Hoppus added, “I'm so happy to be back in the studio creating new music and looking forward to a giant world tour.”
The song will appear on their upcoming album, which is expected to be released in 2023.
  • blink-182 embarks on World Toor 2023/2024. The tour kicks off at Imperial GNP in Tijuana, MX on March 11, 2023 and will wrap up at Christchurch Arena in Christchurch, NZ on February 26, 2024.

Also, Mark Hoppus is working on a memoir now that will address his recent battle with cancer.
He announced his undergoing his third chemo session.
“As soon as it got out, there was such an overwhelming outpouring of support and love, not only from the world at large and people on Instagram and Twitter and Discord, but to old friends that I had fallen out with 20 years ago,” he said. “They came back into my life and, at that point, I felt like I turned a corner. I stopped being so afraid and started feeling like, OK, let's see how we can get through this by sharing my story.”
