  • Tate McRae Releases New Song “uh oh”

  • Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae released a new song “uh oh” on September 30, 2022.

The song is her first music since her debut album “I Used to Think I Could Fly”, which was released back in May.
It was written by Tate McRae, Billy Walsh, Ali Tamposi, and Louis Bell who also produced the track.
She teased the song on TikTok. She put the song out there to see if her fans like it, “You never know what people are gonna think.”
“'uh oh' is so different from all my other songs and that's what makes me so excited about it,” Tate McRae said of the song. “It talks about the flirty, lighthearted feeling of constantly going back to someone and the adrenaline that goes along with it.”
Tate McRae told Newsweek about songwriting proses, "I definitely get into the studio and I get someone play like a guitar loop or a piano loop, I'll like freestyle melodies and just like kind of sing into the room, like, make a little voice memo. And then I'll start spitting out like ideas of things that I've like, written down in my notes before just like run poems I've written."
  • Before the release of the song, she was scheduled to support of Shawn Mendes' tour this year. But the tour was canceled due to his mental health.
However she performed at rap event called “Made in America Festival”, which was curated by Jay-Z, in Philadelphia earlier this month.
She said, “Before I started performing in festivals, I've never really been to festivals before. It's honestly such an experience to see all the people who come and feel the energy of all the incredible artists.”
