Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Kwabs Premieres New Song “Hurt A Little” on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter Kwabs premiered a new song “Hurt A Little” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song follows up the collaborative song “Signals” with Kosovo-Albanian DJ Regard, which was released last October.
But, the track is his first music as his own music in seven years since the 2015 debut album “Love + War”.
It was written by Kwabena Adjepong, and Samuel Dixon who also produced the track.
Kwabs told Clara Amfo about the song, “This is a song that I wrote a while ago with a guy called Sam Dixon. And it's really a song for anyone who's experienced hardship and wished that someone would notice what they were going through is a song about self care and taking time to make yourself feel like yourself again. So, you know, if you're out there and you're listening to this and you understand what I'm trying to say, just know I see you, I feel you and I hope this song helps you.”
Kwabs said, “This song 'Hurt A Little' is one of the few I recorded for my second album that I felt comfortable to listen to after pretty much completely disconnecting from music (I didn't really listen to much music for years.)”- source : BBC Radio 1
