Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Jackson Wooten Releases New Song “Lovely Day”
Last November, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jackson Wooten formed alt-folk duo Garden Gloves with Nashville singer-songwriter Torri Weidinger and released debut EP “Outside The Chateau Apartments”.
Following the EP, he released a new song “Lovely Day” as a solo artist again, along with a music video on August 12, 2022.
The song is the first single off of his upcoming EP “From a Warm Valley”, which is expected to be released this fall.
The track was written and produced by Jackson Wooten and Jason Bennett. The video was directed by Dan Chuma and Jackson Wooten.
Jackson Wooten said of the song, “'Lovely Day' is about stepping into the light of life and breathing in a deep breath. I feel like a part of growing up is trying to recenter yourself- trying to relearn how to live. I wrote 'Lovely Day' in the spring after a dark winter. I remember feeling the sun shine through the windows of my paper mâché apartment. Life wasn't great, but I could see it getting better. Every day it gets better.”- Photo by Torri Weidinger
