PinkPantheress Premieres New Song “Picture in my mind” featuring Sam Gellaitry on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter PinkPantheress premiered a new song “Picture in my mind” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
This time, she teamed up with Scottish DJ Sam Gellaitry on the track.
The song follows up “Where you are” featuring WILLOW, which was released back in April.
The track was written and produced by PinkPantheress and Samuel Gellaitry.
PinkPantheress told Clara Amfo about the song, “I worked with Sam. I went all the way up to Stirling Scotland to do a session with a producer. There was one of the best I've ever had in my life, like genuinely genius level producer. So I had thought I was I really wanted to try it. And then I guess, being his own artist as well. It became more of a collaboration so it's not just him prod it's also his vocals.”
She continued, “It used to be it used to feel a bit like speed dating, where is like you just get in to the studio and then you just be expected to just do work instantly. And then I met Mura Masa and Alex does not do studio session. He goes on a tonic date with you, so he'll be like, 'Let's go to this cafe' and like talk and like really figure each other out not just as musicians as people as well, so that when you go into studio, you're already comfortable. So with that mantra in mind, I kind of had that same thing, Sam and I. We took it slow and then towards the end of the trip came the hit.”- source : BBC Radio 1
