Watch the Ride & Nia Archives Premiere New Song “Mash up the Dance” on BBC Radio 1
British DJ trio Watch the Ride, consisting of DJ Randall, DJ Die and Dismantle, and London-based producer Nia Archives teamed up to premiere a new song “Mash up the Dance” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The track was written by Daniel Kausman, William Knighton and Dehaney Nia Lishahn Hunt. Produced by Watch the Ride and Nia Archives.
The accompanying music video was directed by Geeneus and Nia Archives.
This marks their first collaboration between Watch the Ride and Nia Archives.
Nia Archives told Clara Amfo about the song, “I mean I'm so buzzing for this tune and like I'm a massive fan and it was absolutely honored to have you guys. This is the summer jungle 2022. It feels like this is the tonight's gonna mash up a dance and we've been seeing it like literally mashing up dance for the past four months on gas.”
Watch the Ride added, “I think it's just that time where there's a new generation coming through. Obviously we've been doing that since day one. There's new energy around us. Jungle is a real culture. It's not just about having a t shirt. It's not even a BPM. It's a state of mind and a way of thinking and how we're growing up, and the things we got to go through. And it's all about reaching, reaching the speakers playing go you know, mashing up a dance.”- ySFCMrKuucs
