Dylan Returns With New Song “Nineteen”
London-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Dylan returned with a new song “Nineteen” on August 19, 2021.
It is her first single since the second EP “Red”, which was released last May.
The track was written by Natasha Woods, Dan Holloway and Edward James Carlile. Produced by Dan Holloway and King Ed.
“'Nineteen' is a nostalgic song about youth, love and heartbreak,” Dylan said of the song. “It's just about being young, and the summer of [being] 19 was so superior to every other summer because I had no responsibilities, and no school, and no reason to be anywhere.”
She recorded at Lee Greenmount Studios with producer King Ed and Dan Holloway.
She shared on social media, “so it's out, nineteen is out in the world!! this song has been a year in the making - when we all went into lockdown last year I was a mess, I felt like I completely lost my sound. So I decided to go back to my 15 year old self and start writing songs for me again. That's when nineteen came to me, and the wonderful Dan Holloway helped me believe in the sound and create what it is, and suddenly I found my sound again. Dan you are a legend, thank you for your patience with me on this track and in all of the sessions we did over lockdown, you are a shooting star!! Another huge thank you to King Ed for co-producing this and giving it new life, you are a living legend and I'm thankful we had your ears to make it what it is!! Thank you Lee Greenmount Studios for mixing (over and over again 😉 ) and Robin Schmidt for the wonderful master!!!”- source : Spotify
