- English pop rock band The 1975 released a new song “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America” on April 3rd.
Frontman Matty Healy performed this new song for the first time live in Las Vegas in last April to around 50 people.
The track will appear on their upcoming fourth studio album “Notes on a Conditional Form”.
The band announced the album will be released on May 22nd. The album has faced several delays, it was originally scheduled for February 21st, but it was pushed back to April 24th, and the album cover was changed, changing back to the original artwork two days later. However, the album cover was once again changed.
The album comprises of 22-track. Matty Healy explained on Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 that the album would be inspired by British nighttime culture, adding that it contains references to “the beauty of the M25 and all those lights and going to McDonald's and listening to garage records in a haze in a Peugeot 206.”
