Back in October 2019, New York-based rapper Matthew Raymond Guzmán, aka MRG released his long-awaited debut album “Live From The Hurst 2”.
From the album, he dropped a new music video for “The Way It Goes” featuring Kevin Cruz, aka DJ Mostwanted.
The clip was directed by A1 Vision, who filmed it at the Jupiter House in Brooklyn's Red Hook neighborhood.
“The song was inspired by a woman I was dating,” Matthew Raymond Guzmán explains. “We were intimate, but she'd just gotten out of a relationship, and wasn't looking for anything serious. When you've been with someone for so long, sometimes it can seem like the grass looks greener on the other side, and she definitely wanted to play the field... I was just a rebound for her to get over her ex, but I eventually grew feelings for her. She realized how good of a catch I was after cutting me off, and wanted something more, especially after hearing the music I made. However, I had already moved on.”
The album comprises of 14-track, featuring guest appearances from Kevin Cruz, Lil Guccy, Sweez, Rio Nilo, Cristion D’ and Ramaj Eroc.- source : PAPER Magazine
