American pop rock duo Aly & AJ has unveiled a new song “Attack of Panic” with a accompanying music video.
Last year, the duo released the EP “Sanctuary”. The new track follows up it and will appear on their upcoming fourth studio album. Produced by CJ Baran and Ben Romans.
“It’s literally an attack of panic. It attacks your senses. It attacks your entire being,” AJ Michalka told Vanity Fair in an interview. “The idea of panic setting in is really, really visceral for Aly and I. absolutely wiped out.” She added, “Chaos is so relevant right now. Especially as young women in our 20s and 30s figuring out where we want to go in life, who we want to be, how we’re looked at.”- The duo shared on social media, “Attack of Panic song & video are finally yours!!!! We’ve been holding onto this one since we first wrote it back in August after getting off tour. We’re loving reading all of your responses. The personal stories are already really moving. This came about so quickly when we sat down to write for the first time with CJ Baran and Ben Romans. We knew we had a special song on our hands so we recorded it, got it mixed by the great Jorge Elbrecht, asked Erin Murray to teach us some rad choreographed movement, had a fitting with our longtime collaborator Chris Horan & flew to Berlin to shoot this video as we also discovered the city. We couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. Completely our vision come to life. Now keep breathing and go learn the choreo! Welcome to a new era!”
