Eminem Premieres New Music Video for “Good Guy” featuring Jessie Reyez
- American rapper Eminem has unveiled a new music video for “Good Guy” featuring Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez.
The new video follows up his “Venom” video, which references Marvel film of the same name, starring Tom Hardy.
In the clip, Jessie Reyez killed Eminem due to the complicated romantic relationships.
The song is included on his tenth studio album "Kamikaze", which was released back in August.
It was written by Yutaka Yamada, Lisa Gomamoto, Norio Aono, IllaDaProducer, Jessie Reyez and Eminem.
The track is inspered from a Japanese video game. Eminem said of the song, “That’s me doing my video game thing. Kingdom Hearts. It’s a Japanese videogame, and that’s the theme song from it. It’s one of the dopest melodies I’ve ever heard. Shout out Japanese videogames and Japanimation for inspiration. Filtered it, did some chops, did some processing to it. I basically made it unrecognizable, but I know they would have still found it. That’s why we had to deal with the clearance. But when I do anything I try to make it to where it’s not fully recognizable.”
Eminem recently shared an 11-minute freestyle that referenced the 2017 Manchester concert bombing that happened during Ariana Grande’s performance.
