Rock icon Robert Plant has unveiled details for his forthcoming solo studio album "Carry Fire", which is expected to be released on October 13, 2017.
His 11th solo studio album is his first LP in three years since "Lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar".
The new album contains 11 track and produced by himself, featuring Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde, Albanian cellist Redi Hasa as well as viola and fiddle player Seth Lakeman.
On August 17, he released "The May Queen" as the first single from the album. It mixes Plant's ethereal vocals with a driving track that is part drone and part folk shuffle.
He will kick off a world tour with the Space Shifters in November starting in the UK and Ireland.
About the new album, Robert Plant said in a statement;
"It's about intention, I respect and relish my past works but each time I feel the lure and incentive to create new work. I must mix old with new. Consequently the whole impetus of the band has moved on its axis somewhat, the new sound and different space giving way to exciting and dramatic landscapes of mood, melody and instrumentation."-
