Doja Cat Drops New Music Video for “Streets”
American rapper Doja Cat has dropped a new music video for her TikTok monster hit “Streets”.
The song is included on her second studio album “Hot Pink”, which was released in 2019.
The increased attention to “Streets” again is in part due to the popular “Silhouette Challenge” on TikTok.
The viral challenge actually uses a mashup of “Streets” and Paul Anka's 1959 track “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”. Doja Cat had actually sampled the same Paul Anka song in her 2018 track “Freak”.
Originally, “Streets” samples the 2003 song “Streets Is Callin'” by R&B band B2K, but on the video sampled “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” as homage to TikTok.
The video was directed by Christian Breslauer. In the clip, a taxi driver, played by Coffey Siriboe, sees with an active imagination during traffic jam that Doja Cat of a mannequin pulls off from window-shopping and dances as seen on TikTok.- source : YouTube
