American singer-songwriter Noah Cyrus teamed up with her boyfriend Tanner Alexander for a new song “Lately”.
The track was written by Tanner Alexander. This is the first full song Tanner has ever written.
He sent the lyrics of the song to Noah as a voice memo and recorded by Noah herself later.
She first performed the song at Sofar Sounds Los Angeles 2017.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut albvum "NC-17", which is expected to be released this year. From the album, she has released "Almost Famous", "We Are..." featuring MØ and "Team" with MAX.
Noah Cyrus said of the song;
"When I heard the song 'Lately' for the very first time", we were in a rough patch then, and he sent me the song and he was like, 'I love you, here’s my song.' And so, I was in Miami, and I literally played the song 300 times until I got home, like, it was on repeat and it was the only thing I listened to and like I don’t even wanna hang out with anybody I want to go into my room and listen to the song, because the song is really, really, an incredible record…..it’s an amazing song, it’s great."- source : Dancing Bears
