Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Birdy Releases New Song “Loneliness”
British singer-songwriter Birdy unveiled a new song “Loneliness” on February 12, 2021.
The track is the second single off of her upcoming fourth studio album “Young Heart”, following “Surrender”, which was last month.
It was written by Birdy and James Needle. The accompanying music video was directed by Sophie Muller, who also filmed the video for previous song.
Birdy said of the song, “I’m really excited to share ‘Loneliness’ from my new album Young Heart. When I wrote the song there were two characters in my head, a mischievous one and another who’s being led astray. It’s not so much about leaving someone but more of a love song to Loneliness.”
The new album comprises of 16-track, produced by Birdy, Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk. It is set to be released on April 30th via Atlantic Records. and is her first LP in 5 years.
