British singer-songwriter YUNGBLUD releases his sophomore album “Weird!” this Friday (December 4th).
But he unveiled a new song “acting like that” before releasing the album on December 1st. He teamed up with American rapper Machine Gun Kelly and blink-182 drummer Travis Barker again.
YUNGBLUD tweeted, “SURPRISE !!! me kells n travis just said fuck it and are dropping a song tomorrow ! “acting like that” out tomorrow night midnight (local) 9pm (PST). im so excited i dribbled! are u fuckin ready?!?”
On Monday (November 30th), YUNGBLUD shared a video of him talking to Machine Gun Kelly over video chat. Together, the duo decided to say “fuck it” and surprise drop their new song.
This marks the third time YUNGBLUD, Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker have worked together, following “I Think I'm Okay” and “Body Bag”.
The track was written by Chris Greatti, Zakk Cervini, YUNGBLUD, Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker. Originally, the song was recorded for Machine Gun Kelly's the fifth studio album “Tickets to My Downfall”. But it was not included on the album.
The new album “Weird!” comprises of 12-track. YUNGBLUD told NME about the album, “It's a new era for me – it's an era of optimism. I'm not angry anymore. The first album was so angry and leading into the EP [2019's 'The Underrated Youth'] I got hopeful and now I feel optimistic.”- Ejs_acL9RkM
