Chloe x Halle New Live Music Video for “Cool People”
Back in March, American contemporary R&B duo Chloe x Halle released their debut album "The Kids Are Alright".
After the releases of the album, the duo received two Grammy nominations for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best New Artist.
On December 19, the duo dropped a new live music video for “Cool People” from the album. The video was shot at YouTube Space NYC.
The track was written by Malay, Halle Bailey and Chloe Bailey.
The debut album comprises of 16-track including "Warrior", which is featured on Walt Disney film "A Wrinkle in Time" soundtrack, and "Grown" for "Grown-ish", which is ABC series spin-off of "Black-ish".
The album features guest appearances from GoldLink, Kari Faux and Joey Bada$$.
The duo said of the album title in an interview with Time, "The title means so much to us; we’re speaking about ourselves as we’re growing into young women, telling ourselves we’re going to be OK. We’ll make mistakes and we’ll have obstacles, but we’ll overcome them. But then also in a general sense, with this generation and how the world has gone mad and all these crazy things that are left for this generation to handle, it’s just proclaiming that we will be alright no matter what, and they shouldn’t worry about us. I love being part of this generation because we’re not afraid to let our voices be heard, and we’re not afraid to speak our mind."
Also, the duo has released the short film of the same name as the album, directed by Cara Stricker, featuring Ashton Sanders.- source : Facebook
