  • Erin K Drops New Music Video for “Breathe” from New Album “Sink to Swim”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Erin Kleh, aka Erin K has dropped a new music video for “Breathe” directed by Jamie Danan.

The song is featured on her new album “Sink to Swim”, which was released back in June.
The track was written and produced by Erin Kleh, and co-produced by Luis DiCicco, Henrik Irgens, and Ernesto Voza.
She filmed the video at Moseley Road Baths in Birmingham, featuring the synchronised swimmers.
Erin K said of the video, “It was an honour to work with the team supporting this music video, especially the members of the Birmingham Synchronised Swimming Club, who contributed very creatively.”
The video's director Jamie Danan added, “The tempo of the song and nature of the title led to the concept of a dreamlike video with elements of dance and water combined. The sunlight was on our side too on the day we shot, and we're all extremely pleased with the result.”

The song is a bit of a departure from the other tracks on 'Sink To Swim', taking on a darker tonality and more complex arrangement.
“It's my favourite song on 'Sink To Swim' and I'm very proud of its production, supported by my bandmates Massi, Henrik and Gigi”, Erin K said of the song. “It was born out of a guitar riff I'd been playing with for some time. After endless repetition, I eventually found my way to the lyrics: 'breathe little girl...why don't you sing like they want you to…sing little girl…follow what's before for what comes after you'. The subject is a conversation with my childhood self, questioning the decisions and commitments made that would lead to this present moment.”
The new album “Sink to Swim” comprises 11-track and is her first body of work in four years since the 2019 album “I Need Sound”.
