  • Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Cover The Judds' “Love Is Alive”

  • American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani and American country singer-songwriter Blake Shelton teamed up to release a cover of American country music duo The Judds' “Love Is Alive” on August 18, 2023.

The song is the first single off of The Judds' upcoming compilation album “A Tribute To The Judds”, which is set to be released on October 27, 2023 via BMG.
The original version of the song was released by The Judds as the third single from their debut album “Why Not Me” in 1985.
The track was written by Kent Robbins. The cover version was produced by Brent Maher.
Gwen Stefani said in a statement, “I have always admired the Judds and I am so thrilled to be part of this album. ‘Love Is Alive’ is an iconic track and performing the song with Blake is a perfect way to honor their timeless discography.”
Blake Shelton continued, “The Judds are one of the greatest country acts of our lifetime. 80’s country music is my favorite decade, and I’ve been singing Judd songs for as long as I can remember. ‘Love Is Alive’ was on their first album, and we wanted to stick pretty close to the original version and Gwen just nails the vocal. We’re thrilled to be part of this tribute album.”
  • The album “A Tribute To The Judds” is in honor of The Judds' 40th anniversary and comprises 14-track.
In addition of Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Jelly Roll, K. Michelle, and Ashley McBryde are among the others appearing on the tribute record.
The Judds consisted of Wynonna Judd and her mother Naomi Judd, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her home in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee at 76.
