Scottish DJ Calvin Harris teamed up with British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding again to release a new song “Miracle” on March 10, 2023.
It is their first collaboration in nine years since the 2014 “Outside”, which is featured on Calvin Harris' fourth studio album “Motion”.
Also this marks their third collaboration, following the 2013 "Flashlight" and “Outside”.
The track was written by Producer: BURNS, Adam Wiles, Pablo Bowman, and Peter Rycroft. Produced by Calvin Harris, BURNS, Adam Wiles, and Pablo Bowman.
The pair shared on social media, “Back in studio!! It's time for the third installment of our banging song trilogy.”
Calvin Harris told Zane Lowe of Apple Music 1 about the song, “I definitely have very defined sort of likes and dislikes for music and artists. And one of my likes is an Ellie Goulding angelic vocal. One of a kind. You're not going to get this from anyone else. Ellie can do a lot of different things, for me, this is my absolute favorite thing that she does, and only she can do it, in my opinion.”- 961v0E3b01g

He continued, “When I started making music, I was 14. It was 1998 and '98, '99, 2000, 2001 was for me kind of formative trance and house era. So what I did usually was just take bits from that and put it in a new context. But this time I thought maybe I'll just try and maybe more recreate something that could be from back then… The only thing that I think makes it not sound like it's from 1996 is the kick drum, because the kick drum's pretty banging.”
For Calvin Harris, the song is his first music since the sixth studio album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2”, which was released last August.
While, Ellie Goulding will release her upcoming fifth studio album “Higher Than Heaven” on April 7, 2023.
It is her first album in three years since the 2020 album “Brightest Blue”.- source : Apple Music
