  • Teenage Dads Announces New EP “Midnight Driving”, Covers The Buggles' “Video Killed The Radio Star” on triple j

  • Australian indie rock band Teenage Dads, consisting of Jordan Finlay (vocals/synth/guitar), Vincent Kinna (drums), Connor McLaughlin (guitar) and Angus Christie (bass), appeared on triple j to perform a cover of The Buggles' “Video Killed The Radio Star” and their 2022 single “Teddy”.

“Video Killed The Radio Star” was released by British synth-pop band The Buggles from their debut album “The Age of Plastic” in 1979.
It was written by Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes and Bruce Woolley. The song reached No. 1 on the UK single chart.
Teenage Dads said of the cover song, "We choose this song after a recommendation from our friend Oli from Lime Cordiale. We agreed that we would really fit the vibe of the song. It has a really cool vibe to it and we thought a lot about trying not to mess with that.”

“Teddy” was released last July from Teenage Dads' upcoming EP “Midnight Driving”.
It was written by Jordan Finlay , Vincent Kinna, Connor McLaughlin, and Angus Christie.
The new EP features 6-track and is set to be released on March 3, 2023.
The band said of the EP, “'Midnight Driving' is about perspective. How things look from one point of view, and how they can change over time from another outlook. The songs feel like diary entries, documented internally, like conversations you have with yourself when you go Midnight Driving. A constant, internal form of therapy almost.”
