British singer-songwriter SG Lewis premiered a new song “Fever Dreamer” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
This time, he teamed up with Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Day Wilson and American rapper Channel Tres on the track.
The song is the fourth single off of his upcoming sophomore album “AudioLust & HigherLove”, which is set to be released on January 27, 2023.
It was written by Samuel George Lewis, Charlotte Day Wilson, Channel Tres, and Sol Was. Produced by SG Lewis and Charlotte Day Wilson.
“‘Fever Dreamer’ is the last taste of AudioLust & HigherLove before its release in 17 days, and a song about all-consuming admiration for someone,” SG Lewis said of the song. “I’ve been a fan of Charlotte’s music for ages now, and have wanted to work on something forever. We met up at my studio in LA, and ‘Fever Dreamer’ was the first idea we started work on. Channel and I work out of the same studios in LA a lot, and he was working in the room above around the time of the Charlotte session. One day he popped his head into the studio, heard the demo of ‘Fever Dreamer,’ and immediately started working on the missing second verse.”- SG Lewis told Clara Amfo about recording process of the song, “I worked with Charlotte for quite some time. And we finally linked up in the field during the first idea that we started working on, but she had to leave before we got a chance to the second verse. So, mean Channel worked out, the same studios in LA. So one day, Channel popped his head in as we would always just kind of like checking on each other. And I had a whiteboard going with the album, we had all the songs. And he was like, 'What's this?' And I was like, 'I'm finishing the album' and he was like, 'Why are you telling me I'm not allowed.' I said, 'Would you mean? You want to be on the album?' He was like, 'Yeah, I want to be in the album.' So I was like, 'Okay,' so I played with him 'Fever Dreamer', but he was like, "Done,' so no more and he started writing. Then the next day he comes in, recorded his verse.”
He will perform on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 18, 2023. - source : BBC Radio 1
