Billie Eilish Premieres New Song “COPYCAT”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Billie O'Connell, aka Billie Eilish dropped a new song "COPYCAT". The song is taken from her upcoming debut EP "dont smile at me", which is due out on August 11.
She will drop songs every week till releasing the EP. Last week, she released "watch". Also she announced tour dates to promote the EP, the tour kicks off at Constellation Room in Santa Ana on October 4, 2017. Learn more about tour dates, click here.
About the song, the 15-year-old singer explained;
"I knew exactly what I wanted to write about. It’s really cliché of this to happen, because yeah, as you get more recognized and [are] more of a big deal, then people start copying everything you do. But if you’re going to do everything I do, what’s the point of even trying to be you, if you’re not even you at all?"
She added about the EP;
"I’m pretty sure I don’t have any songs that are about how much I love someone. They’re all either about like, ‘I hate you,’ or ‘you make me hate me.’"-
