The Maine Releases New Song “Pretender”
American alt-rock band The Maine, consisting of John O’Callaghan (vocals, piano, rhythm guitar), Kennedy Brock (guitar), Jared Monaco (lead guitar), Garrett Nickelsen (bass), and Pat Kirch (drums), has unveiled a new song “Pretender” from their upcoming eighth studio album “XOXO: From Love & Anxiety In Real Time”.
The track was written by John O’Callaghan, Jared Monaco, Pat Kirch, Garrett Nickelsen and Kennedy Brock.
The song is accompanied by a lyric video which gives viewers a glimpse into the writing and recording process of the new record.
Drummer Pat Kirch said, “‘Pretender’ shows a different side of the album than what people have heard so far. It’s all about energy and tempo and really is a song for the summer. We can’t wait to play this one live for our fans and feel that energy again!"
