- Maroon 5 and SZA Perform “What Lovers Do” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
- Los Angeles-based rock band Maroon 5 and American R&B singer-songwriter SZA appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they performed their latest hit "What Lovers Do".
The song was released on August 30 as the lead single from the band's upcoming sixth studio album "Red Pill Blues". The track contains an interpolation of the 2016 song "Sexual" by Neiked featuring Dyo, therefore Victor Rådström, Dyo and Elina Stridh are credited as songwriters.
Maroon 5 released a new promotional single "Wait" on October 31 and debuts the new album on November 3.
The album is the band's first release to feature Sam Farrar as a studio member after becoming a touring member in 2012. The title of the album refers to the science fiction term of taking the red pill or the blue pill, which originated from the 1999 sci-fi film "The Matrix".
