Declan McKenna Covers ABBA's “Slipping Through My Fingers”
British singer-songwriter Declan McKenna released a cover of Swedish pop group ABBA's “Slipping Through My Fingers” for Christmas on December 15, 2023.
The original version of the song is featured on ABBA's 1981 album “The Visitors”. But the song was released only in Japan as a red vinyl promotional single for The Coca-Cola Company.
The track was written by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. The cover version was produced by Declan McKenna.
Declan McKenna said of the song, “My full cover of slipping through my fingers is out now on all streaming platforms, I put a whole 2 and a half hours into recording and mixing this thing so please stream it as much as humanly possible and send it to Christmas number one so my back breaking work is not all in vain.”
Declan McKenna will release his upcoming third studio album on February 9, 2024. It is his first album in four years since the 2020 album “Zeros”.- source : Apple Music
