British singer-songwriter Tom Odell released a new song “Answer Phone” on November 17, 2023.
The song is the third single off of his upcoming sixth studio album “Black Friday”, which is set to be released on January 26, 2023.
He first performed the song during his tour at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville on October 15, 2023.
The track was written by Tom Odell. Produced by Tom Odell and Cityfall.
Tom Odell said of the song, “It's a song that explores the idea of loneliness and the desire to be looked at, a longing to not be on your own. There's a lot of shame in it, but there's a degree of self-awareness and humour as well.”- The new album comprises 13-track, and is the follow-up to the 2022 album “Best Day of My Life”.
Tom Odell said of the album, “I recorded these songs between last winter and the spring of this year. I tried to leave them as 'unproduced' as possible with the hope that they would be the truest reflection of how I felt in that time. These songs mean a lot to me, and I can't wait for you to hear them.” -
Tom Odell embarks on “Black Friday Tour” in the UK and Europe in 2024. The tour kicks off at O2 Academy Glasgow
in Glasgow, UK on March 11, 2024 and will conclude at Bergenfest in Bergen, Hordaland on June 15, 2024.
Gold Coast-based singer-songwriter SOFIA ISELLA and British pop duo Wasia Project will support the tour.
