  • Foo Fighters Performs “Rescued” & “The Glass” featuring H.E.R. on Saturday Night Live

  • American rock band Foo Fighters appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “Rescued” and “The Glass” featuring American singer-songwriter H.E.R..

This marks their first musical guest on SNL since 2020 and the ninth time as musical guest on the sketch show.
Also, it is first performance with a new drummer Josh Freese on the TV.
Both songs are featured on their eleventh studio album “But Here We Are”, which was released back in June.
“Rescued” is the first single off the album and is the first single since the death of longtime drummer, Taylor Hawkins, who died in March 2022.
“The Glass” was released as the fifth single from the album back in June. The song is a ballad alluding to the loss of Taylor Hawkins.
This time, H.E.R. performed the song with the band.

When the album was released, the band said in a statement, "Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were - and without Taylor, we know that we're going to be a different band going forward. We also know that you, the fans, meant as much to Taylor as he meant to you. And we know that when we see you again - and we will soon - he'll be there in spirit with all of us every night."
Also, this time, American actor Christopher Walken introduced the band as host before playing “Rescued”.
But he pronounced the band “Foo FIGHTers”. The band frontman Dave Grohl talked about it in an interview with Radio X.
