J Balvin Teams Up With Usher & DJ Khaled for New Song “Dientes”
Colombian singer-songwriter J Balvin teamed up with American singer-songwriter Usher and producer DJ Khaled to release a new song “Dientes” on September 15, 2023.
The song samples Usher's 2004 mega-hit “Yeah!”.
Produced by DJ Luian, Fred Ball, Mambo Kingz, Mura Masa, Tainy and Michaël Brun.
The accompanying music video was directed by Patiricia Alfonso and Chris Labrera.
The song will appear on J Balvin's upcoming sixth studio album, which is expected to be released in 2024.
The idea for the song emerged after Balvin sat next to Usher at a Paris Fashion Week show.
“We didn't plan the song,” J Balvin told Rolling Stone about the song. “I was sitting next to Usher at Fashion Week, telling him how his career and the song 'Yeah!' were a huge inspiration for me. I'm humbled that Usher jumped on 'Dientes' and with Khaled's help, we created a song that makes people smile and feel good. We're trying to make people dance!”- The new album features electronic music, like pilita, a Dominican take on EDM.
J Balvin told NYLON about the album, “The album is very advanced, but it's easy to digest. The flows, the deliveries-all of this is super updated.”
Also, he recorded a collaborative album with Ed Sheeran. He said, “It came about in an organic, natural way. We met; we had coffee; we'd run into each other at the same gym, at the hotel. That's going to be another album that will offer a lot to talk about, because it's like merging two worlds.” -
