Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son Releases New Song “Lay It On Me”
New Jersey-based alt-rock band Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son, consisting of Bobby Mahoney (guitar/vocals), Andrew Saul (guitar), Jon Chang-Soon (bass), and James McIntosh (drums), will release their upcoming 5-track EP “We Go On” on April 8, 2022 via Telegraph Hill Records.
The EP is their first project in four years since the 2018 self-titled second album.
From the EP, the band released the second single called “Lay It On Me” on March 20th, following “Moth To The Flame”.
It was written by Jonathan Chang-Soon, James McIntosh, Andrew Saul and Bobby Mahoney. Produced by Joe Pomarico and Bobby Mahoney.
The band has already filmed the music video for the song directed by Kris Khunachak, which will be premiered soon.
Bobby Mahoney said of the song, “'Flower power and violence' are directly about the 2020 protests for the murder of George Floyd, and the fights many Americans have had to wage to secure their own rights/freedoms. 'Will we find redemption?/Tune in next week'. It's ultimately about recognizing our own boundaries, and how much each of us can take on at once without being burnt out, burned, or burnt alive.”- lcbcvo6Ur24
