- Dutch Party Premieres New Song “Blade Runner” via SoundCloud
- Los Angeles-based indie rock band Dutch Party has delivered a new song "Blade Runner" from their upcoming sophomore EP "Combat Pop" via SoundCloud.
The song was premiered exclusively on Huffington Post on August 9, 2017. The track was written and produced by Ken Franklin.
Dutch Party's sound is influenced from the Motown Sound and the British Invasion bands of the 1960’s such as David Bowie and The Beatles, and is blending early 90’s hip-hop.
The new EP "Combat Pop" is expected to be released fall 2017.
About the second EP, Dutch Party said;
“Music is one of the most immediate forms of deep communication. The world is vibrating constantly, and our goal with Combat Pop is to subvert the current buzzing order. We wanted to make a pop record that was sonically left of center, and bursting with questions.”
- Dutch Party was form by lead singer Ken Franklin in 2014. In the same year, the band released their debut singles "Paper Moon" and "Echo Girl". The singles were premiered on Billboard.
In 2015, the band released a debut EP "Astral Nights" via Complex-owned Pigeons and Planes, and the music video for Paper Moon featured actress Holland Roden.
In 2016, Dutch Party released "The Passenger" for 2016 Presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders. Afterwards, the band collaborated with French electronic music producer Uppermost, both released "Watch You Blaze" on April 27, 2016.
