London Grammar Releases New Song “Kind Of Man”
British indie pop band London Grammar, consisting of Hannah Reid (vocals), Dominic 'Dot' Major (keyboard) and Dan Rothman (guitar), released a new song “Kind Of Man” on May 17, 2024.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming fourth studio album “The Greatest Love”, which is set to be released on September 13, 2024.
It was written by Daniel Rothman, Dominic Major, Hannah Reid, and Seth Tackaberry. Produced by London Grammar, Tim Bran, and Jon Hoskins.
The band lead singer Hannah Reid said of the song, “Kind of Man is about watching somebody descend into the sort of glamour and slight corruption of Hollywood. The song is obviously about misogyny but it's about sexism in a tongue in cheek way. That's kind of what I love about the song. I didn't want it to be melancholic in any way. So, yeah it's quite an upbeat way of saying that.”
She continued, “I like the fact that it's talking about a pattern of relationship where you could maybe expect a man who might not respect you and who might be the exact kind of man to fall in love with you - and it's kind of that dichotomy.”- The new album is their first LP in three years since the 2021 album “Californian Soil” and comprises a 10-track.
The band said, “Music - we shape it as it shapes us. Somehow this new record defines us. Our friendship, our heartache and our joy. We're so excited to share this project with you and have loved the journey we've been on with it so far.” -
