Australian DJ FISHER, British DJ Chris Lake and Italian DJ Sante Sansone teamed up to release a new version of Australian singer-songwriter Gotye and New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra's 2011 smash hit “Somebody That I Used to Know” called “Somebody (2024)” on February 9, 2024.
FISHER and Chris Lake first performed the song at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2023. Since then, the song has become a crowd favourite over the past year.
The original version of the song, “Somebody That I Used to Know” was released by Gotye and Kimbra in 2011.
The track was written and produced by Wally de Backer.
The song reached the top of the charts in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as 25 other official charts, and reached the Top 10 in more than 30 countries.
Also, the song won for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.- source : Apple Music
