  • The Japanese House Announces New Album “In the End It Always Does”, Shares New Song “Sad to Breathe”

  • British alt-pop singer-songwriter Amber Bain, aka The Japanese House announced the second album “In the End It Always Does” would be released on June 30, 2023.

The album comprises 12-track, with guest appearance from MUNA.
Amber Bain shared on social media, “So happy with this album, I can't wait for you all to vibe... Was such a pleasure to make it, with my friends, lots of them, popping in and out, in the sunshine, in the rain, in the middle of the day, in the middle of the night, hackney wick, always laughing, a million busaba takeaways, beers on the canal at 4, the little Italian restaurant, crying a lot in the mornings, walking round trying to think of the words, to put in the songs, to say in real life, coming back inside, the end of a chapter, hundreds of new ideas, joni jones, circling round, again and again, the circle is spinning so fast you can't see it's moving at all.”

From the the album, The Japanese House released a new song “Sad to Breathe” along with a live music video on April 18, 2023.
The track was written by Amber Bain. Produced by Chloe Kraemer, George Daniel and The Japanese House.
The live video was directed by Sheila Johansson.
Amber Bain said of the song, “I wrote 'Sad To Breathe' some time ago, it's one of the oldest songs on the record. It was very different back then; it's gone from being solely electronic to what it is now, mostly live/ acoustic instrumentation. It's about that desperate feeling when someone leaves you and the disbelief that they could. It's funny you could have those kind of insane dramatic thoughts, that feel so real at the time, but can by some miracle look back in fondness to your entire life being ruined. It all circles back around.”
