Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Lxandra Releases New Song “Something To Lose”
Finnish singer-songwriter Alexandra Lehti, aka Lxandra released a new song “Something To Lose” along with a lyric video on January 17, 2023.
She has participated with the song in Finland's Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2023, which is the music competition that selects Finland's entries for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The track was written by Alexandra Lehti, Amy Kuney, and Belinda Huang. Produced by Belinda Huang and Minna Koivisto.
The accompanying video was directed by Heikki Slåen.
Lxandra said of the song, “'Something To Lose' is about the importance of having something to fight for in life. Those ppl that give your every day meaning. We easily become hyper independent and forget how important it is to find connection in this very individualistic culture. I've had times when I felt so disconnected that I didn't really know why I'm here at all and just wanted to disappear.”- She continued, “But it's the connections to others that brought me back every time and I'm forever grateful for that. Tho it doesn't always feel like it, the world really is better with you in it. We touch every person we meet along the way one way or another and I think we're all here for a reason even if we'd never know what that is during our lifetime. So go and hug your near and dear and smile to strangers on the street, it can be life changing! Big love 🤍”
The final of the competition will be held on February 25, 2023 and will be broadcast on Yle. -
