  • Arctic Monkeys Releases New Song “I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am”

  • Ahead of the releasing the seventh studio album “The Car”, British rock band Arctic Monkeys, consisting of Alex Turner (vocals/guitar), Jamie Cook (guitar/keyboards), Nick O'Malley (bass), and Matt Helders (drums), unveiled a new song “I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am” along with a live video.

The track was written by Alex Turner, and produced by James Ford.
The accompanying video was directed by Ben Chappell and Zackery Michael, who filmed at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre last month.
The new album is set to be released this Friday (October 21st) and comprises 10-track.
It is their first album in four years since the 2018 album “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino”.
In the summer of 2021, the band got together to record, in Butley Priory, an old monastery at the coast of Suffolk.
Subsequent recordings happened at La Frette in Paris, and RAK Studios in London.
  • Matt Helders told Clara Amfo of BBC Radio 1, “It was all done in little bits. And it's just the way it had to be done. And we've always sort of like written in different places. And then usually we get together in one place to write it but some stuff needs finishing up and sometimes that's got to be like wherever we are. But there's a studio in front of us for the last record that we just like go into but Suffolk was like the main chunk of it off.”
He continued, “We've done albums way like you're in the city doing it in this Paris. Like it's kind of like 20 minutes away from Paris, so you're not in the thick of it. And a Suffolk thing we like didn't even leave it was like sleeping, waking up recording, but I could have been anywhere but that one but when we've done albums in like London, and I've been in the city and I think that definitely does have an impact. There's too much temptation to like, not the next day.”
