Unlike Pluto Premieres Two New Songs “JOLT” and “WHY”
Los Angeles-based electronic DJ and singer-songwriter Armond Arabshahi, aka Unlike Pluto has released the new double single "Fake Smiles, Real Memories" via streaming music services.
The double single comprises of "JOLT" and "WHY" and follows up previous songs "Pluto Tapes" and "Late Bloomer". This marks his sixth single of the 2018.
"JOLT" is a cinematic beautiful song, and "WHY" reminds us of The Beatles sound.
Armond Arabshahi said of the single;
“I wrote Fake Smiles, Real Memories to try and describe erasing someone or something you hold dear to your heart and never being able to fill the empty hole inside. JOLT was inspired by one of my all-time favorites movies Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and the TV show Black Mirror. I thought to myself, what if you could remove horrible traumatic memories from someone, and how could that go wrong, what if you wipe all your bad memories? On the other hand, WHY is about being unable to feel any emotions no matter how much you want to. I paired this song with JOLT because I imagined a scenario where you wipe the memory of an ex, but afterwards feel an emptiness inside you and going crazy because you’re unable to fill the void.”-
Originally, Armond Arabshahi played in a handful of bands before discovering electronic music. His music is influenced from jazz, R&B, rock, as well as EDM like Skrillex, Justice and Deadmau5.
He has posted several songs online during Emory University. After graduating, he signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label as Unlike Pluto and debuted with a first EP "Show Me Love".
In 2017, he paired with Mike Taylor for the track "Everything Black" and headlined his own Everything Black tour. - -NsBbtTeyz0
