Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Areli Castro, aka KiNG MALA has released the second single of 2021 called “mercy” along with a music video.
It was written by Areli Castro and Rob Auerbach. The accompanying music video was directed by Chelsey d'Adesky and Areli Castro herself.
KiNG MALA shared on social media, “this is absolutely my most favorite thing i have ever made, "mercy" is so much more than a song to me, it's an expression of all the scariest parts of myself and taking back control of my narrative. i hope this songs activates the hottest god complex villain energy in you like it does in me 😈”.
She explained of the song, “I have said things I will regret forever and every day I search for the good within me and search for the proof that those things are not who I really am.
