Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ JÁNA Releases New Song “Carefree”
Stockholm-based singer-songwriter JÁNA released a new song “Carefree” from her upcoming sophomore EP “Works”.
She co-wrote and co-produced with Swedish producer Isac Hördegård.
JÁNA said of the song, “It was very relaxed; we had some wine and watched SZA's video for "Hit Different" over and over. I listened to that last part (which turned out to be a snippet of “Good Days'') like a hundred times, so I guess “Carefree" indirectly sprung from the inspiration and joy SZA gave us that day.”
She continued, “'Carefree' is about feeling free after a breakup or being hooked on somebody. To finally feel free in your own company and to enjoy it. It's the last song on the EP and I wanted to bring some sort of peace and futuristic endless vision as the closing for 'Works'.”
The EP “Works” is set to be released on June 4th via Majestic Casual Records.- source : SoundCloud
