Astrid S Releases Debut Album “Leave It Beautiful”: Streaming
- Norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid S released her long-awaited debut album “Leave It Beautiful” on October 16th.
The album was released seven years after the release of her debut single “Shattered” and contains 10-track, featuring preceding singles “Dance Dance Dance”, “Marilyn Monroe” and “It's Ok If You Forget Me”.
She wrote all songs and produced the album. Astrid S shared on social media, “I can't believe I'm saying this: my debut album LEAVE IT BEAUTIFUL is out! So many memories are captured into these songs, from the process of making them but also what they're about. Now it's finally yours to dance, cry and sing along to, like I've done this past year. This is my biggest achievement so far. Hope you like it! And let me know your favorite songs! 💖
Written and produced by me, @wearejackandcoke and so many of my favorite people! Making this album has been a pain in the ass tbh. But I've made new memories and songs and friends that I'll keep for life!! This is all very overwhelming!!! ”
She will embark on World Tour in support of the album next year. The tour kicks off at Idyll Festivalen in Fredrikstad, Norway on June 18, 2021.

- Astrid S explained track by track for the album.
“To me, an empowered woman is a woman who lives their life the way she desires to, that aligns with her chosen purpose in life, who is grateful for the possibilities she's been given. She takes responsibility for staying educated, stands up for herself and for others. To me, the most empowering feeling is to be kind to myself and the people around me.
“I felt empowered making 'Marilyn Monroe' and I want anyone who's listening to it to feel like they can be whoever they want to be without the fear of being judged… I wanted to make a song that you can sing and dance along to but also makes you feel strong, confident and proud.”
“Dance Dance Dance”
“It's the first time I've directed my own video (with the the best team I could ask for)!!!!! I'm a little nervous but mostly excited hehe :):)”
“It's Ok If You Forget Me”
“I woke up one day and thought 'is this what breakups supposed to feel like?'. After writing this song we were listening back to the demo before leaving the studio, but right when the song ended I started crying:(:( !!!, cus it was all really sad, so to make me feel better we ordered In'n'Out burgers, swam in the pool and watched Midtsommar (which was very traumatizing). Anyways :) It's a process and it definietly hits at some point. At least I got to write this song with some of my favorite people and I'm really glad I get to share it with all of you 💚”
