  • Kasabian Announces New Album “Happenings”, Shares New Song “Call”

  • British rock band Kasabian, consisting of Sergio Pizzorno (vocals/rhythm guitar), Chris Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums) and Tim Carter (guitar), has announced that their eighth studio album “Happenings” will be released on July 5, 2024.

It is their first album in two years since the 2022 album “The Alchemist's Euphoria” and comprises a 10-track.
The band frontman Sergio Pizzorno said of te album, “Thinking about where we are with phone screens, us being able to create something that people can be a part of in the real world has got to be a positive. I’ve seen it in people’s faces at the shows, that need to experience something that just snaps you out for yourself, to feel a connection. Well, that’s Happenings.”
He continued, “We aimed for each track to be a distinct tune that resonates, especially in live performances. It's about creating those moments of joy and unity, where the music envelops you, and nothing else matters.”
He added, “It’s 20 years this year since we released our debut album, but we felt the best way this band, at this time, should celebrate that was by making a new album.”
  • From the album, the band unveiled the first single entitled “Call” on February 21, 2024.
The track was written and produced by Sergio Pizzorno, with production by Mark Ralph.
The accompanying music video was directed by Waxxwork.
Sergio Pizzorno said of the song, “This was the launchpad. Quieter on the verses, loud for the chorus - it’s dance music! The first bit is where you get ready, the second bit is where we all go crazy. It’s really fun and just feels like now. When I finished the track, I felt I wanted to go to a gig by whoever was behind it. Everything for this album was informed by that way of working.”
