Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Baby Said Releases New Song “You Killed It”
Italian-Punjab rock duo Baby Said, consisting of sisters Veronica Pal and Jess Pal, the second single called “You Killed It” on February 16, 2024.
The song follows up their debut song “Fight”, which was released last November.
Inspired by personal experiences, the track draws about fearlessly confronting pervasive issues such as harassment and inappropriate behavior.
The duo said of the song, “'You killed it' is about some other encounters we've had whilst gigging where some drunk boys were making inappropriate gestures towards us so we wrote a song about what everyone else was thinking.”
The duo co-wrote the song with producer Gethin Pearson as with the debut song.
The duo said of their creative process, “This song came completely from scratch during our time in Wales, working with Gethin Pearson. As soon as we got there, we were thrown straight into the deep end; Gethin handed us a piece of paper each and told us to write anything we wanted down while he left the room. When it came to sharing ideas, we were both quite nervous as this was the first time we had tried this method, but very soon the lyrics of our new single 'You killed it' started to fall into place.”- Photo by Emma Barrot
