Theo Tams Releases New Song “Parallel Universe”
This year, Canadian singer-songwriter Theo Tams released two cover EPs “Uncovered, Vol. 1” and “Uncovered, Vol. 2” of Randy Newman, The Beatles, Phil Collins, R.E.M., Louis Armstrong and The Chicks.
But, he returned with his own music called “Parallel Universe” on August 31, 2023.
The song is his first own music since the EP “Trilogy IV” released last October.
The track was written by Theo Tams and Kim Johansen. Produced by Mahrow and Marty Martino.
“I wrote my new single, 'Parallel Universe,' in Copenhagen with Mahrow,” Theo Tams said of the song. “I get super inspired by travel, and was in the beginning stages of planning my wedding at the time. I just started thinking all of those thoughts like,'What if we never met? What if I lived here instead? What would my life look like?' This song starts the conversation with the question of connections and soulmates.”- He continued, “'Parallel Universe' feels vibey and fresh to me. I wanted to write spacious verses to focus on the lyrics and juxtapose them with a slapping chorus that makes you want to move and make out.”
He added, “Mahrow is such a talent and has such a great ear for sounds and samples. We had such a rapport from the moment we met. I think writing a song called “Parallel Universe” with someone from a different country who you’ve never met makes the most sense. Our lives end up the way they are because of many, many choices, some insignificant and others very important- but they all lead us to our present.” - source : Apple Music
