Alex Amor Releases New Song “Like The First Time”
London-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Alex Amor released the fourth single called “Like The First Time” from her upcoming EP “Super Sonic” on August 22, 2023.
The new EP comprises 7-track and is set to be released on November 2023.
The song was written about “not giving up on a long term love”.
It was written and by Alex Amor and co-produced by Karma Kid and Josef Page.
Alex Amor said of the song, “This song came together at the very end of a non eventful studio day. Instead of ending the day early, we decided to listen to more music and take a few breaks. Haim came on in that moment and was a big reference for this project, with their first album being on repeat that day. The song’s about not giving up on a long term love and recreating the magic when you first met, reigniting the spark that once existed in the relationship, with the intention of recapturing the magic of that initial encounter.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Henry Croston.
Alex Amor said of the video, “The video for 'Like the First Time' revolves around memories, looking back at a highlight reel of a relationship's initial stages. Filmed by Henry Croston on Super 8, our intention was to disperse these 'memories' throughout the video. The remaining scenes were captured in Luss, Scotland - a pretty little village near Loch Lomond that I visited during my childhood. I wanted to make this video, because sometimes we all need reminded that love is not lost, it just needs ignited and brought back to life.” -
