London-based singer-songwriter Luke Duffett, aka Enjoyable Listens released a new song “Summer Hit” on July 7, 2023.
The song is the second single since the 2022 debut album “The Enjoyable Listen”, following “That's Where the Blood Is”.
He wrote and recorded the song as demo in 2020. This time, he re-recored the song with Joseph Futák and Elanor Moss.
Luke Duffett explained, “The original 'Summer Hit' demo was the first thing I ever self-recorded. I wrote it during lockdown, and its name comes from a to-do list I had on the 9th April 2020 which read: Re-learn how to kick-flip, Make focaccia, Write summer hit, Complete Ratchet and Clank 3.”
He continued, “This song is up their in ones that I’ve written that mean something other than a massive laugh to me. It was the first song I’d ever recorded myself. I did so in 2020 as soon as things went globally pear shaped.”
He added, “It was a true joy and pleasure to re-record it with the ever radiant Joseph Futák and an honour to once again have Elanor Moss adorn this number with her vocals of velvet.”- Photo by Mars Washington
