  • Chin Injeti Releases New EP “Vessels: Vol One”

  • Canadian singer-songwriter Chin Injeti released a new EP “Vessels: Vol One” on June 20, 2023.

It is his first project since the 2022 EP “Four for U”.
The EP comprises 6-track, featuring guest appearances from Kat Dahlia, Ashleigh Ball, and Thieves Like Us.
Written by Pranam Injeti, Kat Dahlia, Brian West, and Ashleigh Ball. Produced by Pranam Injeti.
Chin Injeti said of the EP, “My EP, Vessels: Vol One, is a story about my relationship with songs, and the people I make them with. For me, this body of work has been a long time coming. I spend most of my time producing records and helping to find the voice of other creators, but this time, this is about my voice. Through the kindness of some of my friends I have the honor to convey the feelings through their incredible instruments.”
  • He continued, “Collaboration is magical & the best music experience comes with and from other humans.”
He added, “Through ninja like skills and God given vision, the City of VESSELS was built. Each structure (instrument) tells a story. I remember where I was, who I was & the person I wanted to be when these pieces became mine. They are like short films etched into my memory, reminding my creative self everyday where I come from, but also that my destination is elsewhere.”

  • Chin Injeti explained about some tracks for the EP.

    “All for Nothing”
“'All For Nothing,' I look to the past with melancholy and wonder if the heartbreak was worth it. I wrote this song on a vintage synth and drum machine to evoke an 80s sound, while also trying to make sure that it sounded futuristic and timeless. As an artist, I wanted to take more chances and make music for myself without worrying about the judgment of others.”

    “Golden” featuring Thieves Like Us
“To me, those two lines pretty much sum up what the song is about. I've come to know so many people that are in deep depression, that have been abused when they were younger, that for some crazy ass reason carry a lot of blame with them. This is a message to tell those people that there is a good place, a safe place, a place of peace, a place where they can start over again. There's no reason to carry this weight because the truth is we never get rid of our demons. We just need to learn to live above them.”

    “Something Love Would Do”
“This song was designed for driving . So that's what we did. We drove and drove, into the mountains, by the ocean, over bridges, through tunnels, by rivers, ancient buildings & farm fields. We almost didn't want to reach our destination. The feeling of being in transit is an adventure, like a great escape if you leave early or late enough :).”
