American singer-songwriter Alexander Glantz, aka Alexander 23 released a new song “How To Drive” on January 27, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “ill” featuring American record producer Kenny Beats, which was released last October.
The track was written and produced by Alexander 23.
Alexander 23 said on social media, “this song isn't about anything, it's about everything. life can be complicated and life can be simple and it can get real hard to tell between beauty and pain. even that last sentence, like, is that insightful or just bullshit. i don't know. 'How To Drive' is about not knowing, i think.”
He added about the cover artwork of single, “artwork by Hiroshi Fujiwara. i had the chance to meet hiroshi in tokyo last year and we immediately connected over life and music. within minutes of meeting he was already on his computer designing what eventually became this single art. i have been a fan of hiroshi and fragment for a very long time and am grateful to have his touch on a song that means so much to me.”- HfbLiDj8ajQ

Before the release the song, he dropped the making video of the song, which was filmed at Electric Lady Studios.
He said of the making video, “i wrote most of “how to drive” before tour and left with the intention of finishing it after. but in an almost child-like way, i found myself needing to record it immediately. i had an off day in nyc and booked electric lady hoping the legendary air there would help me squeeze all the magic out of a song so near and dear to my heart. i hate having cameras in the studio, but on this particular day, i couldn't imagine NOT documenting everything. so this is a video of me somewhere in between enlightened and manic, finishing the writing and frantically hopping from instrument to instrument, physically racing against the clock of the day and spiritually racing against the clock of time. this song isn't an extension of my last era, and i don't think it's really even the start of the next. this song is simply the way i feel about myself, the people around me, and the world right now. and this is how it came to be.”- source : Apple Music
